Preposition of place activity
The words such as in, on,
under, up, top, behind etc. are used to locate the position of a hidden child
in the class through a game of Little Boy/ Girl And Little Cat.
There are two players in
the game. One child is the little boy/girl and another child is the little cat.
The child who is the little boy is asked: “Where is the little cat hiding?” He
locates the little cat and answers the question by using in, on, top, under,
behind etc. For example “The little cat is under the desk.”
The entire class
participates in the game turn by turn.
Where is the boy hiding?
He is hiding behind the cupboard.
Where is she hiding?
She is hiding behind the book shelf.
Where is she hiding?
She is hiding under the desk.
Where is the boy?
He is sitting on the table.
He is sitting under the table
She is behind the cupboard
Countdown begins
She is sitting on the table.
Where is the little cat hiding?
Is it hiding under the table?
No!
Look who is hiding inside the cupboard!
