Role play of The Wonderful Weaver

People from all over praise Arachne for her bright and soft cloth she has  woven at her loom.

Goddess Athena gets angry with Arachne when she boasts proudly that she can spin and weave better than  the Goddess herself. She asks Zeus to decide who is better  than the other in a test . It was decided that whoever looses has to stop spinning and weaving forever.

Zeus declares Athena as the winner!

Arachne  realizes her fault after the defeat. Athena  touches the tip of her spear on Arachne and magically turns her into a spider so that she can continue to spin and weave. So it is said that's how spiders came  to spin webs.

Role play of The Lost Gull by Enid Blyton

The Lost Gull by Enid Blyton

Betty and Giles went to the sea. Giles loved to collect shells and Betty loved to run a race.

Betty says "What's that rolling over the waves in the sea? Giles replied "It is a Gull"

The children take the hurt Gull to their mother.

Mother cleans the Gull's oily wings with petrol.

The children bring the Gull in the garden. It watches other Gulls in the sky and flies away with them

A few days later when the children go to play at the beach a dog chases them. The children run in fright.

Suddenly a gull comes to their rescue...

and pecks at the angry dog.

After the dog runs away. The children discover that they were saved by the Gull they once saved!
